The Journey

Will you ever arrive?

Today I want to write about: the past, the present moment and the future.

Time is a very powerful tool that was created by humans, for humans. We are able to understand what happened in the past, what’s happening right now and also are we able to think in the future, it gives us structure in life. By breaking down each one of these for your own, you will either see the past as a good or as bad as it was, the present moment used by overthinking or enjoying it and going with the flow, the future full of hope or of darkness.

Every human being has it’s own journey to go, own dreams, own goals, own story, but we all share that one thing and that’s death. Let’s define the journey as Life itself by living and experiencing it, and the destination as death.

So what does that all mean?

If you’re that kind of guy that lives in their own head all the time, thinking about the past, present moment and the future, you might never experience your own journey as beautiful as it could be. Your past could be filled with traumatic experiences, and you’ll start to fear the future and all the things that could happen to you or judging things because of bad experiences, so you’re living in that tiny box which is filled with bad emotions, judgments and fear. But living outside the box, experiencing our existence is just incredible beautiful.  Suffering from fear or better known as general anxiety is not good at all because:

“One day, your heart will stop beating, and none of your fears will matter. What will matter is how you lived.”

It’s not always easy to live, enjoy and accept the present moment as it is. It’s something that you need to learn if you haven’t yet. Also accepting the fact that it isn’t always possible to accept, live and enjoy the present moment as it is, is okay, but trying is the most important about it. Take your time, do it step by step. As well as the future, we aren’t able to tell what will be in the future, it’s just all predictions that we’re making, but we are able to tell where we want to be and go in the future by making up goals and working on them, so we generate directions which we can follow to maybe achieve these goals but well as Buddha said: “It’s better to travel well than to arrive.”

Around us, life bursts with miracles–a glass of water, a ray of sunshine, a leaf, a caterpillar, a flower, laughter, raindrops. If you live in awareness, it is easy to see miracles everywhere. Each human being is a multiplicity of miracles. Eyes that see thousands of colors, shapes, and forms; ears that hear a bee flying or a thunderclap; a brain that ponders a speck of dust as easily as the entire cosmos; a heart that beats in rhythm with the heartbeat of all beings. When we are tired and feel discouraged by life’s daily struggles, we may not notice these miracles, but they are always there.

Cheers 🙂
